Instructions:

Please read thoroughly the instructions that came with the product and familiarise yourself with them. Do not attempt to use the product until you have read and thoroughly understand the instructions. It is very important to follow the instructions. If you did not receive instructions with the product, then please contact us immediately upon receipt of the product.

Product Suitability:

Mandibular advancement splints may not work for people with jaws that normally project a long way forward or a long way back. Jaw advancers are not suitable for people with bridge work or loose teeth, or if their dentist or doctor tells them not to use one. If you have unhealthy teeth or gums, or are unsure whether you can wear one, then you are strongly advised to speak to your dentist before you use one of our products.

If you use one of our devices and it causes you excessive discomfort or pain, then stop using it immediately and, if necessary, seek advice from your dentist or doctor. You may contact us for guidance, but we are unable to give medical advice. Please see your doctor or dentist for medical advice.

Limitation of Liability:

MEDITAS & Halo International Trading Pty Ltd accept no liability under any circumstances for problems arising from the use of SleepPro products. If users do experience any complications, then they should stop using the product immediately and, if necessary, seek medical advice from a doctor or dentist at their own expense.

MEDiTAS, Halo International Trading Pty Ltd or any corporate entity or individual associated with the development of this Product will NOT be held liable for any special, consequential, incidental, indirect, or similar damages for any reason. The sole remedy will be limited to refund of the purchase price.

By purchasing this product, you agree to these limitations of liability.

Terms of Business:

All sales are subject to the following trading terms – these terms and conditions do not affect the consumers’ statutory rights.

We guarantee that the products we supply will be to the correct specification as advertised however we are unable to guarantee precise compatibility or suitability. It is extremely important that the instructions that come with our products are followed as closely as possible.

We try to ensure that all information provided is as accurate as possible but we cannot be held responsible for any typographical errors in our advertising on our website.

We reserve the right to accept or reject any order for any reason whatsoever. No order will be considered binding unless and until it is accepted by the company.

All prices quoted exclude UK VAT and/or Australian GST at the prevailing rate.

Payment terms are postal order, cheque (subject to guarantee/clearance), credit/debit card.

Title of the goods remains with the company until payment has been made in full.

We will give you an estimated date of despatch for your order. If these dates cannot be met for whatever reason we will try to keep you informed of any delays and when you can expect delivery. Whilst we make every effort to keep to stated delivery times, we cannot be held liable for any losses or costs incurred as a result of a failure to meet estimated delivery dates and times.

Any problems with your delivery must be advised to the company within 7 days of delivery.

All goods are offered subject to stocks and availability. If for any reason they are no longer available we will try to offer an alternative product, otherwise we reserve the right to cancel the contract and offer a refund.

Important – Distance Selling Regulations:

If you wish to cancel a contract, please write to us, fax us or e-mail clearly stating your full details, and cancellation instructions. To cancel the contract, you must give us notice within seven working days starting from the day after you take delivery of the order.

Once you have cancelled the contract, you have a legal “duty of care” to take good care of the goods. You must return the goods to us at your expense to the address below. Please mark all parcels clearly with your name and address.

User Guidelines

By purchasing a SleepPro product, you are acknowledging you have read, understand and agree to the following user guidelines.

Please read before placing your order, it could save you a lot of time later.

Please pay particular attention to the first three sections.

1.0 SleepPro mandibular advancement splints work for most snorers; however, special consideration may be necessary:

• if your jaw normally projects a long way forward or a long way back.
• If you have an abnormal bite.
• If you have missing front teeth, loose teeth, loose caps (crowns), or unhealthy teeth or gums (please speak to your dentist if this applies to you).
• If you wear dentures or have missing teeth.
• If you have bridgework a SleepPro is probably unsuitable for you as the mouthpiece may damage your bridge (nb: crowns are OK if they are “sound”).
• If you suffer from excessive daytime sleepiness, you should see your doctor for a sleep test as you may have a sleep disorder such as sleep apnea.
• If you use a CPAP machine, then do not stop using it in favour of a SleepPro, without consent from your sleep physician.
• SleepPro’s should not be used by people who suffer from fits.
• SleepPro mandibular advancers are not suitable for children.

2.0 A SleepPro 2, will only work if you have had at least some success with a SleepPro 1, or some other mandibular advancement splint.

3.0 You must read, understand and follow closely the fitting instructions before attempting to fit your SleepPro. We strongly suggest you take at least 30 minutes to read and digest the instructions and FAQ’s.

4.0 The sale of SleepPro products take place under the laws and regulatory guidelines of England & Wales (in the United Kingdom). These differ from the regulatory guidelines of the USA.

5.0 In the USA, mandibular advancement splints are usually sold and fitted by a dentist and only when a customer is able to confirm they do not have sleep apnea (this normally costs in excess of $1,000). In the UK, the regulatory guidelines do not make these stipulations and so we are able to sell directly to customers within our regulatory framework.

6.0 SleepPro products are designed to be fitted at home without a dentist.

7.0 You should contact us if there is anything you are not sure about, if you have a problem or your fitting has not gone well, or you just need reassurance about some aspect of your SleepPro.

8.0 The SleepPro 1 is a mouthpiece that is designed to test whether a small amount of mandibular advancement will stop you snoring. For many users it is all they need to stop snoring and they do not upgrade to a more expensive custom-made splint. However, it is understood that many users treat a SleepPro 1 as a low cost “stepping-stone” before upgrading to a custom-made splint. We say that this is what a SleepPro 1 is for and if it works for you instead of a custom-made device, then that is a bonus.

9.0 Please note, you can also upgrade to a custom-made mandibular advancement splint made by other companies by contacting your dentist. He or she will not be able to supply a SleepPro 2, but should be able to supply some other custom-made product. Please note these cost considerably more than our SleepPro 2. If you choose to have a custom-made splint made by your dentist, we suggest you choose a fully hinged model like the Silensor.

10.0 In the United Kingdom, Australia and most other countries in the world you do not need an instruction from a doctor to buy SleepPro from us (we are based in England& Australia). However, if you were to buy a mandibular advancement splint in the United States, the regulations are different.

11.0 Always follow the instructions of your doctor or dentist as he or she knows best.

12.0 These statements have not been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

13.0 Our goal is to help people overcome a troublesome condition and while we do our best to help people, we ask in return that people play their part by taking care of themselves in the use of our products. Above all, please use common sense and stop using the mouthpiece immediately if you experience excessive discomfort or a problem with your teeth, jaw or gums.

14.3 We only sell SleepPro mouthpieces to customers in the USA, if they acknowledge they accept and understand our terms and conditions.

14.4 If you receive a SleepPro product and do not agree to these terms and conditions, then please return the product for a refund in accordance with our refund policy.
